Accessory source?
« on: September 22, 2021, 11:47:45 PM »
        What are some sites for scooter accessories? I see a lot of neat things in this forum, and wonder where folks can buy them. I'm not talking about Kymco specific, but all brands. Cruise control handles, windshield extenders, gps holders, cup holders, all the universal fit scooter stuff.
Blue '23 People S 150i ABS  Moto Discovery GPS bar, Shad SH33 top case, Iridium spark plug, Black reflective graphics, Battery Tender ring terminal cable, LED tag light.
Past rides- '73 Honda 450, '00 Harley Softail Deuce, '10 Kymco People 150, '12 Kymco GTI 300, '21 Kymco X-Town 300i ABS

@mrmike, for good aftermarket stuff, at least here in Italy, is Amazon my source. Delivers fast and in time with no p&p fees for prime clients.
All rollers, or windshields are to be found there.

I also buy items from Grease such as seat covers and wind screens that I can't get in the US.  You have to look at places where scooters have a large presences, such as Taiwan, Greese and Italy .

You just have to be careful with sliders, I love them. But if they're not installed or have enough tension on them. They can flip in there "slide" and create issues.

@NomadCF, heard rumors about issues with turned or tilted Dr.Pulley/techPülley square sliders. But haven't been able to have anyone who could conferm a real case.
I do have in each of two LIKEs 200i a Malossi Multivar 2000 with in one Dr.Pulleys in the other techPülley with wings and both scoots are running as supposed.

In my Grand Dink 150 I mounted techPülleys, no issue so far after 1500 kms.
IMO mentioned issues result from careless or sloppy handling during installation. Also a new contrast spring as well a new belt are a must.

@Ruffus,
It very well could be just that poor tensioning. I myself and have run and have coming in a new set of sliders for my AK. But the caution should still be posed. It's like dark siding. I love, but I still caution people about it :)

I believe it was a user on ADV that just recently talked about there slider turning over. But I couldn't find the post

Agreed, still believe in mounting failures or taking too small (diameter, not width) of sliders. Then of course it's possible to have them turned around.
