Need help w/scooter chair~!
« on: October 09, 2021, 09:02:07 PM »
OK, anyone know of a folding chair which could hold a 255lb fellow AND be safely carried for 3 blocks by a scooter rider.
I have NO free space on a rear carrier. Top cases back there.
Something I could hang off a shoulder, or strapped to my back.... both scoots are step-throughs.
Just need to go a couple of blocks at 25mph with it.
Frankly - price no object. (will use it for years)
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Stig

I just stick a folding chair behind my seat with a bungee cord.  It stays there even at 90km/hr.

at the football game yesterday a buddy of mine who's tipping the scales at 267 was comfortably sitting in a sling chair..the kind that folds up and slips into a carrier. Most of those carriers have a sling so you can carry them over your shoulder..should be an easy thing to do on a scooter for just a few blocks?

I have carried chair similar to the one in the picture on the back of my scooters many times.  Just fold it up and bungee it on.  You can get cheap foldong chairs for as little as 5 bucks and even the expensive ones are normally well under 100 bucks.  I got a good one for under 40 bucks.

You beat me to it Hawk. I have 2 like that and would confidently strap them to the scooter for 70 mph trips. They have a carry case with sling strap if you prefer to carry it on your back for short distances.
