Veterans Day ride.....
« on: November 11, 2021, 05:24:50 PM »
Best wishes to fellow American veterans,
(and to those who served and are recognized on Armistice Day and Remembrance Day in other countries )

My coffee village always places flags all around town early in the morning.

Dino's displays 2 flags every day of the year.

There are 4 flags in this photo......

I might make myself some SOS and burnt coffee for breakfast and then have someone yell at me for 2 hours.....in remembrance of good times past.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Armistice Day observed here yesterday at 11:00 am.  We also have Remembrance Day on the closest Sunday to 11th so that will be Sunday coming.  Always a time for sobering thoughts, mainly of my maternal Grandfather who lost an arm at Passchendaele.  I never met him as he died in the late '40's before I was born, but I remember my Mum telling me that his party piece was tying his shoelaces, one-handed!
Regards & ride safe,
Neil
