1st rain ride of '22 ~ deer surprise
« on: January 09, 2022, 07:17:36 PM »
Unprepared for a ride this morning - "80~90% rain" - still have no good repellant for my heated leather gloves.
Didn't gas my scooter, set alarm for 5AM....just in case.
Radar showed solid rain.

Rolling down the driveway...looked down, "OK dumby you're running on empty!"
I always fill in my garage with a can of Shell rocket fuel.
So, hit the Sunoco station for some primo....could'a ruined my night vision....(but kept one eye closed - per my Sgt.)

Yeah - it is raining.

Got that out of my system....heading home after a nice coffee on the W Bench.

*Oh yeah - nearly back into the city, not 2 mins after thinking to myself, "yeah - didn't think so...too wet and cold for deer" - a deer the size of a horse ran across in front of me - 150 yrds from back onto city streets.
I will not forget that.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
