Sun---try 3/4 helmet with long duck bill visor=works well but getting harder and harder to find duck bill visors. Tilt of head allows you to move safely on.

Your idea doesn't work - not for that 15>20 mins when the sun is sitting
this low.
I had to pull to the curb, use my fingers to block the sun to find the color of the stop light just ahead - then time my self to get through the green. I have 3 lights which must be passed that way. (once again - sunny days are my least favorite times to ride )
The cars behind me are blind to my presence as well - all the way down this street - and if I were dumb if I were to sit at these red lights.
I just need to remember this next time - stay in my coffee village longer or leave with enough time to get home before sunrise.
My tape on the face shield doesn't work either when sun is
this low.
