You last 3 guys are making me smile!
VW nuts, probably?
I had a new '71 Beetle, sadly a drunk hit me with only 60 miles on the odo!
I returned to the dealer, Ralph D Jones' "VOLKSWAGEN VILLAGE" of Springfield Mass - for the repairs.
In 1973 I returned to Village VW and bought a new leaf green Super Beetle with tan interior. Lovely car! The Beetle with the big curved windscreen, big tail lights and nose pushed out to permit the spare to lay flat. It also had the new McPherson front suspension. That 'big' beetle was really cool inside - felt so much more spacious with that windscreen no longer against my nose!
Put 185K on that Super before purchasing a new Rabbit. The "C" model I think it was called. Very basic carpeting and door panels, bias ply tires - but otherwise identical mechanicals to the up-scale versions. Great car ! Fuel injected, more spacious, faster, quicker, better mileage, better in the snow. Real heater and defrosting! I put Continental radials on it and dropped a Blaupunkt in it and drove it for years!
Small world indeed~
Decades later - a toy collector friend of mine in Hamburg Germany - commissioned some 1/87th scale VW's from Brekina GmbH.
One of which was the delivery Kombi used by my same old dealer in Springfield, Mass! He used old photos from the VW archives in Germany. Brekina copied them pretty accurately.

(I collected these Brekina VW miniatures for a few years - stopped at fewer than @600. Brekina is still making them - you can find some on eBay)
