9 yr anniversary.....LIKE200i
« on: May 10, 2022, 03:26:29 PM »
2013, April 12th, I purchased my new LIKE200i. (MSRP $2699 / @$3200 OTD)

8 days later  I had a set of Michelin City Grip tires installed for $143.90
(I paid @ $110 for the tires from Revzilla - I asked. No discount on the mounting if tires purchased through the dealer)

May 9  in 2013, I purchased my life-time Cyclepedia subscription for my LIKE200i.
Price was $42.95.

In July 2014 I took it to the dealer for an issue with a low speed stumble. Paid $53.09 ....nothing wrong found. I took it back and left it with the dealer - "keep it until you" witness the fault.

In November 2014, after getting the Kymco/USA customer service tech. involved (and with proof from a diagnostic tool lent by good ol' Crossbolts !! and posting a youtube of the issue) the dealer installed my throttle body assembly under warranty. Scoot has been running like a top ever since.

Oh yes....while the LIKE200i was in the hospital, being ignored.....I bought a pretty red Honda Forza 300.
So - when they saw me ride in on the Honda to check in on my Kymco - they knew I was serious about not taking it home until they fixed it! Meanwhile - I sicked the Kymco rep. on them. It worked. They bought a diagnostic tool and found the same fault I'd found.

First year was a rocky start - but the LIKE200i has been a great scooter!
Regrets? Wish I'd kept the Forza!

Actually,  bigblue had his LIKE200I LX fully a year before me!
There were other LIKE owners here before me.....not sure how many - other than blue - are still running here.
I watched YouTube by LIKE owners.
And there was the serious "off" gopro'd by our member....he recovered and moved up to a HONDA NM4 with the ins. settlement!
Anyway, the LIKE has a fun history here.
(Remember the guy who tweaked his LIKE50 and was running 65mph ......before his crash?!🙃
