Memorial Day
« on: May 29, 2022, 04:48:23 PM »

in the United States, a day to remember and honor those who have died in this nation’s wars

Today I'm remembering J.M.M., panel 02 West line 116 on the Wall.

Thank you for the post Stig.

There are numerous veterans in my family tree, including my father, younger brother, and myself. But, I am remembering my 2nd Great Grandfather who lies in Arlington National Cemetery and his cousin who rests in Antietam National Cemetery.

Thank you for the post Stig.

We mark our military fallen on 11 November (Armistice Day) in what we term "Remembrance Day" when I always think of my maternal Grandfather who lost his arm in the Battle of Passchendaele during the Great War.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Passchendaele

To all who have served your country, thank you.
Regards & ride safe,
Neil
