Helmet lock?
« on: May 21, 2014, 12:54:56 PM »
Anyone added a helmet lock to the Like, if so where did you locate it and what kind? All the ones I see are designed to be added to the handle bars or the round frame which isn't possible on these scoots. I like keeping my storage for other things besides the helmet, any solutions or links?

Maybe you've already seen them, and decided not to use....
At the front of your under-seat bucket - on each side of the hinge, are 2 posts for 2 helmet D-Rings. Put the D-ring on the post and close the seat to lock in place.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

The glove box hook is for hanging chickens from the market.

I bought the Helmetlok II lock for my wife's Like.  She runs the carabiner-style lock through the helmet "D" rings, closes the lock, then places the under the seat post through the open area of lock and closes the seat

The glove box door lock was replaced by a locksmith and the cost of replacement was affordable.

If you have a luggage rack on the back, a padlock through the D ring works easily.

After 60 years of leaving my helmet unlocked on my bikes (and never losing one), I've concluded that nobody wants to steal other people's helmets!
