Brake Disc Thickness
«

Hi guys,
At what stage would you say to replace the actual disc on my rear wheel? Brake pads wore thin and I didn't realize til I heard the dreaded scrape/friction noise.

The service manual will specify the service (thickness) limits of your brake disc......assuming the disc was not damaged by the worn brake pad.

@agilebda, brake discs minimal thickness is written / etched on the disc.
Should grooves deeper than 0.5mm appear, disc has to be changed.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I got away clean. Just about anyway. Another week of riding, I would have had to replace disc for sure.
