Evening Ride in the Woods (UK)
« on: June 24, 2022, 07:59:37 PM »
Not usually one for pictures and my phone takes awful pictures, but managed to get out for a 40 minute ride before the rain set in tonight.

The newly-reconstructed, 32 year old CB250 didn't miss a beat and I could feel it freeing up after a few years in bits and the battery finally started to charge a bit. A few rattles that will need tightening, especially around the headlight area.

Rides;

Suzuki GW250 Inazuma (2016)
Honda C70C (red, 1983)

I'm not really one for spinning a yarn like some on the forum.

This bike arrived in the UK from California in 2000. Spent 18 years running around London as a commuter hack for somebody who worked nights at a hospital.

A friend of mine rescued it from a front garden in 2018, looking pretty sorry for itself an in a hell of a state

He spent months stripping it down, sourcing new parts, blasting it and repainting the frame.

He then got bored of it and i picked it up in crates in 2020. Put it together this spring in response to high fuel prices

Sorry. I don't believe a word of your yarn.
Especially the part about it being the getaway vehicle for the 3 murderous Bandino brothers in the London pizza mafia.

Nice try, tho....

nice save of a great old bike! Pretty impressive to take a box of parts and assemble it into a running and riding bike. Do you have any more pics?
