In the coffee shop this morning....
« on: August 02, 2022, 11:15:52 AM »
I was looking at Dinos vast menue on the wall beside me, while waiting for him to pour my coffee, "Dino what's the difference between a Cafe Au Lait, and my coffee with cream?"

Some wise-guy in the back of the line hollered, "about $3!"

Kinda early to be poking him with a stick....

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I know it means it has milk in it - just didn't know it has to be steamed milk....hence the extra $!
BTW - never drank coffee as a kid in Paris.
I drank my 1st cup of coffee out of a C ration can, held by the folded lid - made by my hole-mate, under a shelter-half during a cold monsoon in the central highlands during the games in sunny S.E. Asia.
It was hot - mainly.  :)

The “games” ha! Reminds me of a much missed DJ here (Sir Terry Wogan) who always referred to WWII as “the last unpleasantness “!
