Tires
« on: August 10, 2022, 06:28:20 PM »
Hello again, I am having a hell of a time finding tires for my 2016 K-Pipe 125.  The original tires are wearing and I live on a gravel road and would like to find a tire with a different tread.  Maybe a dual sport tire?  What is on the bike just ain't working for me.  The places I have contacted have many choices for the front tire but nothing for the back 3.50 17.  Any ideas would be appreciated

Saw a few knobbies in size 3.50 / 17 on ebay.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I am at the exact same point with my K-Pipe as well, I am just starting to do research, and looking at the Kenda K761, it comes in 2 17" sizes,  120/90-17, and 130/80-17, both are rear tires, but having been a darksider in the past, I would run the 120/90 backward up front, IF it will clear the fender, similar with the 130/80 clearance in the rear, but I am having a hard time finding actual dimensions of the tires, I can measure my K-Pipe

I would also be going up a few teeth on my rear sprocket to compensate for the taller tire, and in my case, with the 190cc 5speed, I have to limit the bikes top speed a little
