Phone pairing problems in noodoe
« on: October 26, 2022, 07:17:15 AM »

Hi, purchased an 1 year old AK 550 and trying to pair my android phone without any luck. It does not offer me the option of pairing a new phone but says it is paired with an iPhone. I followed the instructions but no joy so l must be doing something wrong so can anyone help please.

What process are you attempting when pairing?

There should be no issues of course, but that assumes you already have the Kymco Noodoe app installed on your phone and are using that app to pair to the scooter.

Just to cross check...
-Turn on the AK 550 and have the Noodoe/Meter switch set to Noodoe.
-Open the Noodoe app on the phone and at the first screen (the one that shows 3 panels: Dashboard, Navigation, Find My Scooter) tap the 3 dots at the top right and select the Pair With a New Scooter button.
-Hold the orange set button on the right control cluster on the AK until the screen shows Pairing. This puts the AK into pairing mode.
-The phone app and the AK should take a moment or two to communicate together and set up the connection. This may take 30 seconds or a minute. Or maybe less.
-Once paired you will see the app show that the AK is connected at the top of that first screen and the default factory speedo display on the AK Noodoe screen will show the symbol for BT connection just below the center. It may also show a navigation satelite symbol and a cell tower symbol. These show up just above the odometer indicator on the Noodoe screen.
