NSR: local station puts diesel in unleaded pump
« on: November 19, 2022, 03:45:53 PM »
A local gas station is facing legal action from a couple dozen drivers who filled up at the unleaded pump - and received diesel instead. All experienced engine trouble after driving away.
I guess if you were in a hurry while pumping the gas  - you might not smell the difference?

The driver of a tanker dropped the diesel in the wrong underground holding tank.

One lady had her truck stop on the cold night after driving away - with her children in the truck.
Thank goodness for cell phones.

Now the tanker co. and the gas station co. are arguing over who is responsible - while people with broken cars, some of whom cannot afford the repairs... wait.
The county auditor, who certifies the pumps - is getting involved.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
