Piaggio scooter parts & photos from this dealer in TX
« on: March 03, 2023, 11:31:00 PM »

For parts ordering - I prefer the Piaggio dealer in TX, AF1-Racing.
Easier to navigate for my parts order. They have them in stock. Quick shipping to Ohio.
Helpful on the phone.
Ordered here - new valve cover gasket (easy to pinch and cut! if you're not careful), replacing the 5 yr old spark-plug oil seal, new belt, CVT nuts & exhaust nuts.

They even shoot good photos to promote the scooter~!
This long smooth seat was a selling point for me. I can sit anywhere on it!

It would be nice if a Kymco dealer would step up to the plate like this!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Good you got the valve cover gasket. Only problem I had with valve adjustment on my Vespa 150 was when I reused the cover gasket and got a oil leak. Just a drop or so after riding, but annoying.

Yeah - learned the hard way!
It is awkward to fit the valve cover back down in there - and that gasket slipped out of place, underneath.. I ran the engine then wiped under there and found a leak.
After that I buttered the gasket pretty good with some grease to 'glue' it in place :)
I can't tolerate an oil seep!
My fav goof was the time I left a paper towel laying under the valve cover of the LIKE! (catch bit of oil when valve cover removed) Finished the valves, buttoned it up.
Went for a 3 mile ride to the reservoir. Switched off and smelled toasted paper!

"the day I tried, unsuccessfully, to set fire to my scooter...."
