Oil residues inside air filter box
« on: March 14, 2023, 10:19:00 PM »
Hi everyone. Today I found a good amount of oil build up inside air filter box, and inside the throttle.
It never happened before. Do you think that short trips could cause this?
Or a bad valve adjustment? A mechanic told me he did it last year....

Thanks for help :)

You sure this is not a beehive?😉

Has to be cleaned properly without pushing too much of this gunk inside you injection. I would use paper towels and a strong vacuum cleaner simultanousely.

This oil could be from your gear (overfilled once) or your "puke tube", which leads from your airbox down under your motor (has a plug in its end) is full of a water/oil mix.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus

I think it's engine oil because I use Motul (red, like the buildup). Gear oil is yellow and I never overfilled it, but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks Ruffus :-)
