Older kymco odometer in kilometers?
« on: July 21, 2020, 12:09:26 PM »
Was looking at a older People 250 with the odometer  (mechanical) in kilometers, just curious if this is legal?  In a article by JUST GOTTA SCOOT they also confirmed it was in kilometers as well as the owner. I always thought it had to be in miles for US import? Tried google to get information to no avail.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

I think the People 150 which was a very popular model for Kymco was also sold this way in The US. I guess they must have gotten a variation on this or scooters were sort of under the radar.

Lol, recently bought a used 2009 people 150. This would explain why it gave me 132 miles per gallon on my latest fill up. If it’s actually kilometers on the odometer, although that figure still seems too good. Am going to do some tests today with gps and car odometer.

Edit: yeah, it actually says “km” in red letters just under the odometer.
