See those two little holes on the top of your (truly high quality) blade fuses? Those are for multi-meter probe(s)!!

@Iahawk, yes there are some news on my Guzzis
-the white one got its original (single) seat with what it came from Mandello, its original screen, a different ignition system, original mirrors, LEDs all over, LiFe04 accu, brake cylinders, cylinder head service, different shift lever, ......

-the black one got finally its original side boxes on it again (got it from Sicily), got a tune up,....
But: that one 20 minutes out of my workshop (owner called me), sounded like a sack of antlers from its chest.
Went there and suspected a main bearing gone. Upon opening the chain housing I saw the culprit
(pls see pic) chain tensioner broken. Easy and fast fix, after an hour they were on the street again.

-in between came a couple of motors to be refurbished, so no boredom here....

Nice work on the Guzzi's! My Dad had a 250 Lilac in the 60's. Reminded me of a parky girlfriend with a pretty face! That thing was like a Guzzi but no power for the weight.

Yes, this fuses are still in use in many european items such as, generators, older cars and motorcycles like GUZZI, BMW, LAMBRETTA, PIAGGIO, DUCATI, FIAT, LANCIA, etc.

Nice work on those old Guzzis, Rufus! So you can break a cam chain guide with no ill effects to the motor? ..wow…and do you do all this for fun or do you have a business on the side where you fix up older bikes?

@hawk yes, there is a chance (if you hear it early enough) to get get away without bent valves or any other major demages.
The only critical point is, when the chain would jump a few teeth and messes up timing and the piston hits valve/s.
Business: most labour is for free to friends but parts and liquids are to be paid for. If I have leftover spares, off they go...
