Clutch shoe replacement
« on: June 23, 2023, 02:59:25 AM »
Hello everybody so recently I noticed that my clutch on my scooter is not grabbing like it used to. Seeing is that I am at around 10,000 km I decided to pull the CVT cover off and have a look. To my surprise the roller weights Were still perfectly round and the face of the variable was still Relatively smooth. However when I pulled off the clutch bell I noticed that the pads were worn. ( about the thickness of 3 credit cards) would it be a good idea to change the clutch shoes or should I change the whole Assembly, from what I read online it is very difficult to remove the nut holding the shoe and the contra spring.

3 credit cards = some remaining clutch pad life. Buff the pad face clear of glazing. Several youtubes on safe &  easy big nut removal.  Not certain one can buy separately the part with pads bonded to it. Often have to buy whole clutch assembly.
If concerned,  let a dealer do it.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
