NSR: attack of the A-10's....and lifeguards!

Yesterday while I watched the ladies shop along the Delaware coast --- the sky over the beach was suddenly ripped open by 2 very very low flying Warthogs! Turned full on their sides skimming the water - it was a thrilling experience. They are LOUD!

I asked a guy getting out of his car, "Damnation!! - does that happen very often!?" He nodded.

Shortly thereafter I walked to the beach and saw lifeguards! I haven't seen lifeguards on a beach in decades! The one  guy was waving two red flags and blowing a whistle at a group too far out.

Small anecdote

The pup and I were sitting on a bench while the ladies shopped....one or more of us dying for another cup of coffee and maybe a donut.
I saw a policeman coming down the sidewalk - and I told Lilly, "I bet he knows where you can get a good cup of joe around here!"
So I asked him, "S'cuse me, do you know where I can find a good cup of coffee...?"
He laughed and pointed. We were sitting maybe 50 feet from the DunkinDonuts!

Notice - I was smart enough NOT to ask him where can a guy can get a donut.....
