Are you in the USA or another country?

So far there is only one version of the AK 550 that has cruise control. That is the AK 550 Premium. That initially came out as the AK 550 Euro 5 model in 2022 and then was renamed the Premium for 2023. Bad new is that it is not available in the USA... yet. No rumor that it will be but who really knows what we'll get on this side of the Atlantic (or Pacific).

The "Standard" version of the AK 550 is the only version that has been available in the USA since 2021. It is the same as the Euro 4 version in Europe.

Oh yeah, That's another nice feature that came out on the Premium version but is not on the Standard version.

That's something I did have on my 2013 Burgman 650 but really never used much. I'd put the screen up when the weather turned cold and left it there for 4-5 months. Then I'd put the screen down when the weather turned warmer and left it there for those months of the year. So, for ME, that's a feature that doesn't matter in my bike purchases.

Just like cruise control. I had that on my Gold Wing but rarely used it even though I did travel on Interstate highways at times. For me, another feature that just costs more money so if I can save some cash by not having it I'll go without it.

If you just GOT to have CC, then there are mechanical aftermarket options?  I've used a couple, but never for long.  Son's KTM has electronic CC which I have used, but have to concede it's a bit of a faff, so not sure I'd use it long term once the novelty has worn off.
Regards & ride safe,
Neil
