What did you do to your DownTown today?

Today I removed fuel injector for cleaning. I made test bench using 12 V battery , syringe and tire valve ( idea came from here :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnDCbWWNjA0 ) Spray pattern was good from first shots. I used about 50 ml of carburetor / egr cleaning agent. I put two new orings as per manual and I went for a test drive and noticed no change 

I swapped ECU's, from 2011 V2 model to 2009 V1 model. To my surprise I found the same Kymco P/N already installed  but Keihin P/N was different. Still, I deceiced to give it a go.  So far I got rid of middle range part throttle engine hesitation or "micro-pulls" which I have been experiencing for last 3000 km since owning the scoot. I will post full swap review after about 1000 km with "new-old" ECU.

I put new set of 13.5g 20x12 mm rollers. Now I have 7000 rpm screamer @ WOT  I have to put about 500 km to see if they stay or go.

I also cleaned all variator parts with compressed air and rag soaked in isopropyl alcohol.

I was using 14.5g for last 1000 km but could not get past 5500 rpm with wide open throttle from stand still start which made scoot a little big slugish. Gas mileage was great though -  3.1 L/100 km - and 5200 RPM @ 90 km/h, 5500 rpm @ 100 km/h.

You do know, I hope, there is a way in that requires no tools? Turn forks to left, lay on ground (if an old guy) on machine right, look up to back of ignition switch, grab cable housing on bottom of ign. switch and pull along cable axis as best you can. Repeat yanking on cable housing until seat unlatches. Take two aspirin and call me in the morning!

Thanks Karl, this trick saved me a lot of time and frustration.
One latch got stucked (second one was disabled long time a go), after a couple of days i found this trick and worked like a charm.

Today I had put chinese 20x12 13g sliders from Aliexpress. Weight is quite close to specs. They will set you back 16 USD.

I had 13.5g 20x12 rollers for last 2000 kms but as milage passes they seem to starting to get "lazy" - I mean that after putting them new I could rev engine WOT to about 7000 rpm but after 2000 km peak RPM's go down to about 5800 rpm. There is some wear but it's even and tehre are no flat spots.

I will report back after 1500 km how these chinese sliders perform.
