This machine will run off of starter fuel through the airbox, but not otherwise.
New Spark plug, New Fuel Injector, Oil change, Coolant change...
Removed fuel filter, checked pump- tested fuel pressure (bops between 40-50psi)
Removed air filter
Compression test- 210PSI
Checked and set valve clearances
3000kms on a lightly used machine. On 3rd fuel pump - machine has been problematic for a few years. Seems the pump wasn't the problem all along.
Turn key on- Check engine light stays on until pump stops. I can then start it...idles for 2-3 secs then bogs out like a carborated machine.
I'm baffled... don't know where else to look other than spending a small fortune on a scan tool.
*** note *** while Kymco parts are exceptionally expensive, I've had good luck finding the exact corresponding arctic cat or yamaha parts for 1/3 the price.
