Tail Light Bulb Access
« on: February 19, 2024, 01:19:18 AM »
Sooo...my brake and tail light weren't working.
The manual says to remove the seat bucket, the seat, the rack, the bodywork etc etc. I tried that but you still can't reach the bulb.
I was sure a company like Kymco wouldn't make you go through all that just for a bulb so I took another look today and viola! Theres a wee inspection hatch on the wheel arch under where the pillion would sit. A couple of push pin coonnectors and the cover has a couple of tabs....easy peasy.

that's refreshing to see! My S200 required full seat tub plastics removal for a simple rear bulb change.

Excellent post!
Yeah, the LIKE200i has the same plastic hatch....behind which are the brake, running and turn signal bulbs. Lay on back. Look up under rear fender.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

This alone sounds like a good reason to switch to an LED tail-light! I now realize why I've never had to change bulbs on my 15-yr old Kymco (all factory LED lights).
