Kymco Agility keeps cutting off
« on: July 06, 2024, 04:41:29 AM »
Hello everyone,
I hope you'd be able to help me identify the issue.

I am a foreigner living in Poland and I bought a used Kymco Agility City 2t 2014 that had around 2300 km mileage.

According to the previous owner there was nothing wrong with it, just sometimes i need to blow air through a hose to the carburetor to help it start.

The scooter has a hard time starting, and when it does it can stay on for a while then cuts off. When rarely I'm able to ride it, the throttle feels unresponsive (like there is some kind of dead spots?) and i have the feeling that the scooter has to be revved to stay on.
Everytime i stop at a light or something I'm worried that it will cut off and when it does it usually won't start and stay on again.

I took it to a mechanic and changed the carburetor, spark plug and air filter. The scooter felt a bit better after but still has the same issues.

I am never confident in riding it far from home coz i know it will die on me and I'd have to push it back home.

Any ideas what might cause this?

Thanks

Stig / Major Tom

Hello MNabih3 in Poland....welcome to the forum!

Your mechanic put in a new carb - or he changed the settings of the original carb - and still have running issues?

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
