The People Line
« on: October 14, 2024, 04:07:05 PM »
It seems that Kymco is removing the People line little by little. I only see it in 50, 125, 200. I used to like the larger flat bottom 300 gti, but looking at europe and indonesia, they seem to be moving to the agilty and various other Maxi-scooters. Even the offerings in the USA are sporadic at best. Too bad the youth wouldn't see the practicality of scooters for city travel and adventure travel.

In my city, Kymco has totally disappeared.  My own 2009 Kymco is likely the last Kymco on the road.  The dealers have all moved to other brands.  One that seems to have take the place of small Kymcos (50cc - 200cc) is the Scorpion brand. Scooters, motorcycles, ATVs.  Made in China I'm guessing.

And at a time when they are more open to and in need of less expensive, lighter carbon footprint vehicles.
2014 BV 350  "IndiGO" (fast, strong and tireless)
2006 Honda Rebel 250  "Snow Leopard" (stealthy, agile and durable)
2018 Lance Cali Classic 200i  "Black Panther" (smooth, nimble, quiet and quick)
2016 Wolf V-50 (sold)

Wanted a Kymco, ended up w a Lance, but that forum is inactive, so I am here

Very pared down range now in the UK, with no People models at all:

Their mobilty scooter range is selling like hot cakes though!  (The older demographic?)

I guess that I got my '23 People S 150i ABS just in time. For me at 80 years old it's just perfect. Pretty light weight, easy to maneuver, and a top speed just over 60. Extremely happy with it. At 80 years old, it will probably be the last scooter I will buy!
