Big Bore kit
« on: January 06, 2011, 01:32:43 AM »
Hi all, first post. I have a 2009 agility 50 and the CDI and variator are derestricted and my odometer shows 35-40MPH. I'm trying to get 5 or so mph more. I found a guy who will install a 72cc bigbore kit for me for aruond $150 (parts and labor) which seems good to me. My question is,can this be done without upjetting the carb and installing a freeflow airfilter and exhaust? I would hate to have him do this and get no extra speed and maybe even harm my scoot. Any advice would be appreciated as I'm a regular reader of this forum and you guys seem so helpful. Thank You in advance Dale from PGH

the best thing to do is leave it aloan just do the samll up grades you well find later the more you do too you scoot you well have prolems later. cut the cdi and go up a size on the jet and replace the boss and you shoul be good.

THAT SOUNDS WAY TO CHEAP AND CHEAP STUFF BREAKS EASY SPEED COST MONEY DO THE SIMPLE STUFF FIRST

I DERESTRICTED MINE DRILLED OUT MY JET MADE MY OWN EXHAUST AND PUT A FILTER ON

IM HITTING 48 TOP SPEED ON MY SPEEDO SO I GUESS IT A TURE 40 MPH

I WOULD IMAGINE THE LABOR ALONE IS 150 AND A DECENT BBK IS LIKE ANYWHERE FROM 2-4 HUNDRED

Thanks for the responses, that does sound too cheap and I'd hate to void my warranty too. My cdi is derestricted and I did change the variator,so if I get a freeflow air filter,doI need to upjet the carb and get an exhaust also? can I do just 1 of those things at a time or do I need to do all 3? I'm looking to do these things myself and I dont want to get in too deep cause I would have no idea how to adjust a carb or anything like that.I'm looking to do just about 40 mph so I can safely travel on roads posted 35 mph.   Thanks again   Dale
