I've bought a Givi Windscreen (from motardinn) that is going to arrive soon, and I've seen pics online (and read posts) that the rear view mirrors are slightly obstructed with the Givi Windscreen added.
Has anyone added these to their AK550 ?: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807215752646.html?src=google&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa
Adding an extension could solve the problem of the mirror being partially obstructed by the windscreen. Curious if anyone has gone down this rabbit hole...
Those extensions will go in the brake lever pivot hole next to the brake reservoirs so no need to remove the stock mirrors. The brake lever pivot hole is not threaded for mirrors but is simply a bushing with a smooth inside hole. A bolt of the right size can fit through it but just be careful to ensure the levers still work smoothly after tightening any bolt there. Those extenders won't work on the OEM mirrors most likely. The mounting for the OEM mirrors is accessed by removing the front top cover (like when accessing the battery). If you are thinking of inserting the extension at the pivot bolt of the mirror stalk keep in mind that the pivot bolt there is spring loaded so you can pivot the mirrors forward and down.
