Prince's bike in Purple Rain

sort of scooter related (?)...was just watching 1984's Purple Rain (I was in high school when it first came out and I saw it in the theater)...and was curious what bike he rode in the film.

1981 Honda CM400A...automatic! With a fairing, custom paint, custom seat and other mods. Riding a bike in the film added to his image and mystique.

Just a little Sunday morning trivia.

Busy here putting off Xmas wrapping.
I once put it off so long....I was out of wrapping paper, so I got out the N.Y. Times Sunday paper and wrapped everything in it.

I thought the movie Purple Rain may have missed the average forum demographic by just a bit...yeah, 1984 movie (a sort of bio pic about Prince) and movie soundtrack was released as the album Purple Rain.

Prince was a tiny dude...5'2". Bike had to be lowered so he could flat foot it.

I remember watching the movie, probably a couple years after theaters on a vhs rental, about the time my daughter was in high school, something she woulda picked out

my favorite motorcycle movie is Fastest Indian, the next one that comes to mind is just a scene in Great Escape
