Foot pegs
« on: December 09, 2010, 06:16:15 PM »
My passenger foot pegs no longer spring out when the button is pushed.

they used to pop out and stay out untill i forced them closed.

Anybody have experience with this?
Im usually on a bicycle, so for me, this thing is hauling ass!

Ha yes i do.  Or at least i will next time i DRIVE out to the dealer.  I couldn't
ride home with it on the back.  lol

BTW that cap fell off both of my friends S8s too.  Must be a common problem.

I think they were tightend on but not thread locked...

I saw some green discoloration from the connection.  I think it may have coroded but thats it.

Hey glopez,

I have the same issue on mine.

I just bought it two weeks ago as my first scooter. It's an '09 and had 1670 miles on it when i picked it up.

Now it has 2020 miles on it and I ride it in the passenger position all the time with my feet on the pegs (let's me duck behind the windscreen a little on cold mornings). I'd love to know if you have a solution for the spring back!

Thanks!

I'm the old glopezz...

Still haven't found a solution... I'll hit my garage today and mess with it for a bit.
