Topcase Bestem 929
« on: June 20, 2011, 03:44:10 AM »
Ok so I want more space and am interested in the Bestem 929 box.
Anyone tried it on the DT300i ???

Does the orange band come close to the DT300i color ???
The band is often painted, but it would be nice if it actually came close...

I'm told I need a special carrier bracket, can it be had online?
The dealer does not have them yet, but quoted a price of CAD129 (if memory serves me right)

We have a flat plate for a lugage rack. Because of this mosst universal mounts will not work. Givi has the SR92M and Shad has their own as well. The Shad maount also has 2 drop down bars going past the rear lens, while this may support more weight  IMHO this takes even more away from the lines of the bike.

Just about any case will either have to be painted or obtain matching color plates..................

You can order the Bestem Case from JC Whitney  http://tinyurl.com/6yur5yo

The smaller 929 case is listed at $59.99 USD and the larger 928 is listed at $79.99 USD.  I think they ship to Canada.

I have the large one on my People S 125. Been on it for 4 years and about 30000K It is a good unit. I lost it once  at about 50K per hour. It passed the bike sliding on the road. No dammage to the contents. A few scratches on the case and I am still using it. The strip is red as a reflector but just has white paper behind it. A good trick is to take the red lens off and put reflector tape behind the lens.
