The mother of all tail/stop lights-safety factor
« on: September 14, 2008, 02:41:32 AM »
The stock tail/stop light on my People s-250 is more than adaquate-but I bougth an LED tail/brake light bulb called a lazer-star from Dennis Kirk. It has the conventional multible leds pointing out the rear, but it also has a "ring" of leds around the circumfrence of the bulb-WOW this thing really make the reflector come alive! this is really a good safety upgrade. If any thing will help to increase awareness from the rear-this is it. A little pricey at $38.00, but I think it is worth it, other benefits are lower current draw and it will never burn out . If anyone is interested the part number is 22-723 www.denniskirk.com And, if your curious-yes- I have been ran over before, pulled out in front of with no time to get on the brakes, etc. and on much bigger bikes with more lights-so anything that may give me an edge I will use. For over 30 years now I ride like I am invisible.
