But not ethanol fuel (less than 2/3 energy)!

We are discussing real gas , not fake gas.. :D

I don't put gas with 10% ethanol in my scooter. We have two stations that sell ethanol free gas here.

We had another gasoline price increase yesterday.

At this moment, gasoline costs exactly twice the price in USA.

Depending on where you live there are some stations that sell non ethanol gas . Try this web site pure-gas.org . Good luck .

My local experience in Nashville, TN is that 90%+ of all pumps are marked with 10% ethanol blend. Some claim this is a horrible, horrible thang, but I can't tell it from my experiences. I get no better mileage out of non-ethanol fuel vs. the 10% blend, and the scooter seems to run fine on either.

These numbers are usually "up to". Over here we have "up to 5 % ethanol" gasoline. Could be 0, could be 4.99 %.

I've acquired some information about Ethanol and that is if left in the fuel tank for a conderable (questionable) time, this is where the harm comes in. I am definetely going to look for non-ethanol added fuel...is I can.

Of course, I am speaking to people who actually ride their scooters.  ;)

The shop had a guy last year who bought a scooter two years ago, and was demanding his money back, 'cause every spring he needed a new battery and a carb cleaning (ignoring the dealer-supplied storage recommendations). Why some people buy scooters, I will never know.
