Getting the right parts
« on: July 05, 2011, 08:12:56 PM »
Hi,
I'm finally getting round to doing more than just the CDI cut. I've been looking at a couple of sites for parts, central scooters and Taipei scooter assassins.

From what I've read on this forum and according to central scooters the variator boss should be 28mm. http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/variator-28mm-boss-p-3193.html
Yet Taipei scooter assassins say 38mm should be the right size. http://www.exportstrength.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_44_332&products_id=403

There is also quite a difference in the price of the two websites. one being £13.23+del and the other £9.

Can anyone help clarify the sizes.

Thanks
Brads

10mm is a big difference in something like that. That could explain why streido had a rattle from his variator, he used the drive boss from Scooter Assassins.
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

Thats what I was thinking on the size. I've read various times that 28mm is the correct size.
