G'day wingman7000, most here swear by the Avon Viper Strykes but, as they are not available where I am, I have just put a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport on my ZX 50. I had put the rear on a little over a week ago and am happy with it, so bought another for the front. As my speedo is so far out, I went from a 110/70-12 to a 120/70-12 to try to bring the speedo back into line. Will go for a first ride today to see how they are together, (easy at first, of course :). It seems that with these tyres they are suitable for front or rear aplication.
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

Thanks for the advice sid. I've seen the Avons in my search. I think I may go with the Pirelli MT75. Anyone else out there installed these?

Did the tires fix the speedo problem?

I have not done another run with the gps yet, but will soon, maybe tomorrow. Will post results when I find out.

OK, I have done a rough check with the GPS unit, bear in mind this is riding while holding the GPS unit in one hand.
Speedo indicated 40kmh, gps showed 37, speedo 50-gps 45, speedo 60-gps 56, speedo 70-gps 62, speedo 80-gps 71. My scoot is a ZX50 so will be different than your people, the top side of the top blue panel in the fuel gauge is 82kmh and my top speed was 92.47 kmh. It seems that going up in tyre size was not enough to correct the speedo error. But, I do have a very nice front tyre for my efforts though, this thing does roundabouts like never before, with much confidence and a little bit of hoon.  ;D
