Kymco 2t engines
« on: August 31, 2011, 11:54:05 AM »
I was under the impression that all 50cc Kymco 2t engines were the same.  According to Motorscooterguide.net "...all Kymco 2-stroke 50’s) use the same motor..."

And I was told many of the Honda DIO parts would fit Kymco's.

Can anyone confirm if this is indeed the case?

Why?  I am looking for a bystarter or a replacement carb for my 01 Kymco Cobra and found some DIO carbs but I am not sure of they are compatible.

Thanks

As I replied in your other thread, I think Kymcn used a vertical engine and a horizontal engine.
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

Nonsense. Kymco published its spare part catalogue a long time ago (even in German: http://www.kymco-ersatzteile.de), so everyone can see: even the 50cc 2 stroke engines differ.
Just pick your model and look up the matching number for your replacement.
