Has anyone used the eBay gear set from autotech?

Auto Tech is a guy that started by posting/buying on line. I have had perhaps a dozen dealings w/ him. (forgot his name) but all was good 2ish years ago. If he is still doing online business then that stands for his stature.

I'd shop there again for sure.

I KNOW the Malossi set works, and I also bought another set from Moped Hospital. ONE THING FOR SURE>>> Dio gears will NOT fit the Kymco ZX so be sure it is listed for the Kymco, and NOT the Dio

Not a soul sells gears for the kymco zx50 anymore. you can get gears for a Honda elite pre 93 with the AF05e gears. I was told by someone china gy6 gears fit but they most certainly do not. Do not buy any gears for the kymco zx50 unless they are malossi 16/32 gears or custom cut gears you had made. Polini had some 15 x 42 gears back in the day but they went with the wind. The daytona gears have to be machined down quite a bit to fit as well, if you can find any NOS sitting on a shelf in japan. Zombie had some custom cut from moped hospital a few years back but I dont think hes up for more. I sent an inquiry a while back and suppose to get some 7.85 gears made. The malossi gears brings your ratio bottom line to 6.91:1 ratio, far from the factory 11:1 ratio.

Steve (MH) had the gears cut for stroker ZX's. I think Steve is gone from MH.

I still have the primary set I bought from him if anyone is interested. The OEM ratio was 10.8:1. The Malossi gears brought it to an even 8:1. The primaries brought it to 6.1:1. I pulled them out because 6.1:1 is tooooo short for street use on a 12-13 HP engine. I imagine the primaries alone will result in 8.1:1.

The 16/32 primary gives less than 7:1 on the zx50 and 7.83:1 on the AF05e.
I need something around 7.83 again or 8.10. Its a pain to find them.

That's what I have... The Primaries from MH should be 8.1:1 w/ OEM secondaries. If you want I'll mail em out to you.

Whatever they are worth... send it after you try them. I installed them, ran about 3-4 miles tops, did my speed runs, and pulled them back out.
