hose disconnected
« on: June 23, 2011, 10:33:53 PM »
I just found a few drops of oil on the floor of my garage, so looked under the scoot and found a hose that looks like it became loose and disconnected.  I have a 2010 Like 50 2t and no prior issues ran perfectly fine.  Has 260 miles.  I took these pics from the left side of the scoot.  I can't figure out how to take the rear panel off and don't want to break anything.  Can anyone recognize this hose and where it goes?

After a closer look, I'm not sure it's a hose but a tube and it's connected to the engine hood as far as I can tell.  does anyone know what it's for?

I could be wrong but I had something very similar on mine. You see that rubber shroud around your carb. Thats where it goes. It just fits inside a hole in the shroud (doesnt actually connect to carb).

I think its for cold weather starting. I removed all that. I don't live in a cold climate.

I did more searching and I think it's called "duct heat transfer" part 16630
