Won`t start
« on: June 16, 2011, 12:11:26 PM »
My scooter wont start after taking the cylinder head off. At first the valve timing was off, but i fixed that. Now the timing is spot on and still wont fire up. Im out of ideas. I hope that that people in this forum can help me.

Take its turning over, just not starting? Got a spark at the plug?

if you reset the timeing your valeves might need to be recaped now seting the time may have throwen things off.

i agree i set my valves immediately before i rebuilt my motor and when i put it all back together it wouldn't start because my intake valve had gotten so tight it wasn't closing completely therefor no compression and exhaust coming out of my intake... also are you certain gas is getting to your compression chamber? could need a carb cleaning and vacuum line check.. just throwing some ideas out there. good luck
