Inconsistant

Some days my Agility 50 can get up to 43mph(usually on a nice cool day and after riding it 30 min or so) but most of the time it struggles to get 35 on the flat ground. It's been fully derestricted(boss, cdi cut, 5.5 rollers, race variator, iridium plug, etc) Anyone else have this problem? Does humidity play a part in this? It's newer with only 1100 km on it. Just got my learners permit and signed up for a riders course to get my MC license but all I really want is my Agility to do @ 45 mph. Would another 50cc scoot do 45 consistantly or am I asking too much? Or is there somethig I'm missing on my Agility?

sounds like maybe its time for a new belt or your clutch spring. other then that it sound like you should be doing 40 or better all the time.

If its windy thatt will slow you down? Check tyre pressures are correct every week? Grease the torque spring if it needs it or like Blue says, maybe it needs a new spring put in? What year and milage is on it?

That is weird mine has been derestricted and that is all stock variator and all and I get 35 fairly easy and normally get 40 to 41 on a decent day then I top out.  If windy like most days I will stable out around 35.

One thing to check is if you have adjusted the rear brake recently.  I adjusted mine one day and all of a sudden my scoot wouldn't get up to 35 easily couldn't figure out why and I remembered I had adjusted my rear brake. Well I put it on the center stand and revved the engine and the tire would spin and as soon as I let off the tire stopped almost instant without brake on.  So I loosened the rear brake a couple turns and tried again and the wheel would slowly come to a stop without applying brake and stopped quickly with brake applied.  After that the scooter was running and getting up to speed normal again.
