Nice scooter. I had a People 150 that was great around town and also bullet proof. I started to get on the main roads some so I traded it for a People S 250. I believe it is going to be a great scooter as well.
Kymco has the best scooter line up of any one and are really reliable. My dealer sells a lot of Kymcos and their service dept told me they had only had 11 warranty claims since they had been selling them. They said two of them the owners screwed them up and Kymco fixed them anyway. Not bad.
You'll enjoy the S 250. It is a great scooter. I love mine. My other bike is a 750 CC Moto Guzzi V7 Classic (2009), yet I still enjoy riding the S 250. I am every bit as comfortable at 65 MPH on a four lane road with traffic on the S 250 as I am the V7, in fact, more so until I get a wind screen for the V7. Just yesterday, I explored its top speed. I had it up to 90 MPH (indicated, probably 84 MPH actual from my research), and it felt quite stable at that speed.
It also gets very good fuel economy. My average so far is 69 MPG.
Since I have a top box on it, plus the ample underseat storage, it is my go-to bike for trips to the grocery store and other errands. I can easily carry 6-7 bags of groceries with it (two or three in the top box, two under the seat, and 2 hanging from the hook on the leg shield). I've also carried a full case of beer with it too ( by removing the top box and strapping a large, rectangular milk crate to the luggage rack).
