Im the same, prob do my cbt nxt yr. I can drive a 50cc on my car license since i passed pre 2003. It  just isnt safe tootling about at 25-28mph, much safer being able to keep up with traffic.

What annoys me is i can ride a 50 thr rest of my life, no cbt, no test but as soon as i go for a bigger bike, even a 125, i need t sit a bloody cbt? Ive been drivng for near 20 yrs, riding on and off for yrs too. The thougjt of L Plates and tests puts me off a bit,he thought of not slowing down going up hills kijda makes up for it a bit tho   ;D
Chaos is my co-pilot.

I did not need to do my CBT with moped grandfather rights but never ridden before other than a pushbike so thought it made sense.

But agree totally, luckily no big hills on my way to work more just accelerating and keeping up with traffic on 30mph roads. With 136km on the clock I know the engine still has to bed in but has loosened up greatly compared to the day I drove it home and got dusted by the wife in the car  ::)

Personally 40mph would be a safer top speed with fuel injection slowly coming along to meet Euro 3 regs and soon Euro 4 will yield more power and thus acceleration will help. Two years the Agility should have EFi for American and Euro markets I would guess.

I was wondering if kymco will ever do anything fuel injected...

Seems like it would make it hard to keep them so well priced though doesn't it? Production costs would go up greatly.

And honestly a companies first year making an engine with fuel injection makes me nervous about being the guinea pig, although Kymco is a pretty good company.

And after all that, they've never made anything fuel injected have they? Lol

Me my self I dont care for fuel injected I have a older gy6 that was but I took it off and run the line straight to the carb runs alot better like that.

Also nice to have the freedom of tinkering more with a carb too.

Fuel injection is the way forward and instead of a Carb you have an ECU to play with. A simple map on an N/A petrol car can yield 10% more power and torque. A turbo petrol like mine can can go from 208Bhp to 275Bhp if I ever decide to have it remapped. The electronics are the cheap part it's the injectors themselves that tend to cost £££/$$$$. The thing with a Carb is it is more robust and can withstand lower quality fuel and poorer maintenance that occurs in some of the countries it supplies.

Don't think we will ever see the latest high pressure direct injection systems in quite a few petrol cars with the injectors alone costing about 1K. Nor a turbo unless you buy a bolt on kit from Japan  :)

Downside as Scooters get more complex there will be less and less DIY maintenance that can be done so I would like to see Carb and injection versions still being sold side by side as Kymco do with some 2T and 4T models.

I think you will find that Kymco do make fuel i8njected scooters, just the larger ones, Downtown and Xciting.
Fuel injection is the better way, I have had no issues with my fuel injected cars or bike, but with carbs
have had problems. basically, fuel injection aside from being improvede economy/power, is also low maintenance.

I think a Fuel injected may be a benefit for somethings.  They would need to add an o2 sensor to read a/f ratios to make the electronics compensate.  But by doing so, that means adding an upgrade filter and removing the air box and adding an exhuast would be easier.  since the computer would compensate for the a/f ratio (giving that the flow rate of the injector can handle more, which normally they can to a point) it would be less guess and trial and error to get the stuff to work together while making sure you are not running lean.

Then the possibility of a small turbo charger to help with acceleration maybe be possible.
