battery connected wrong...
« on: January 30, 2014, 02:51:40 PM »
Guys, I had to change the battery but I this damn battery has two sets of positive and negative so I did them wrong (really invented by %$^#$^*#). :-[

I checked the battery with a multimeter and it has 12 volts. The scoot is completely dead and I don't see any blown fuses (in the compartment next to the battery).

Has anybody experienced this?
Need advice to know where to start looking

I probably found the answer! There is another 30A fuse that is hidden under the saddle.
Saddle needs to be removed and then you can reach it  ;D

It's just a blown fuse, 100%.

Thank goodness for fuses!
(my son & his buddy tried putting in a radio in his Audi 4000. Did not disconnect the battery. Blew a fuse. Went looking....found the bad fuse - pulled one from the fuel injection fuses to get the radio going. Car ran like crap. Cost me $100 at the shop to sort it out....they never mentioned moving the fuse.)
