Should I buy a 2006 Kymco Bet & win 150 for $1400.

Hi,
I live in north jersey and have a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic.
I love riding but the Kawa is too heavy for local roads and to get it in and out of the Garage is a pain.
I like to know: Should I buy a 2006 Kymco Bet & win 150 for $1400.

My main rides with the scooter will be to work 10 minutes every clear day and around town.

Thank you.

The 150 may be a bit small for you on anything outside of your neighborhood.  A 250 will get up to highways speeds easier.  I had a VStrom 1000 and a Zuma 125.  I loved the Zuma for anything up to 45mph - but it was not very stable at 60mph (though it would easily do it).  The Vstrom was very tall, cumbersome and top heavy - and not a smooth ride at neighborhood speeds.  So I got rid of both and got an XCiting 500 which handles the neighborhood ride to take my daughter to day care - and the 11 mile highway jaunt to work.

I was going to keep the VStrom and trade the 125 for a People 250 - but as a single parent I don't get to go out and do the 500 mile days that the Vstrom is great for anyway.  So I went with one ride that was big enough to do any of the riding I could see myself doing in the next few years...

I bought a 2007 Bet&Win 150 with 3,000 miles 2 months ago for $1,700. It is great around town (up to about 40 mph). Quite stable. I absolutely love being about to put my feet up on the sloped foot rests while driving.

I've had it on the highway up to 60 mph 4 or 5 times for 20 minute stints. The ride is stable but the engine is up to about 9,000 rpm at that speed (kinda pushing it).  Also, my speedo is about 10% optimistic and I have to keep doing math to make sure I'm not speeding. I think that's the case for most scoots though.

All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.
