People S 200 issues...
« on: January 16, 2009, 06:36:30 PM »
Bought a new S 200 a few months ago, now has 2100 miles on it. Just a few nights ago, I started to notice on take off's, when I got up to about 5mph, there would be a rumble, like the cvt was catching or something. Would only last like a second, but happend every time taking off. That lasted a couple of days, then last night leaving the parking lot from work, the scooter just dies, no lights no nothing, right in the parking lot. I turned the key off, and then back on again, and it drove home with no issues. Strange thing is is that the rumble thing went away, which is good, but I now noticed my speedometer guage was totally tacked out when I was only going about 50. At stops it would go back down to about 30mph. Very wierd. When I got home I turned the key off, and then back on, and the guage went back to normal. As of this morning everything, looks and drives normal with no issues.
Anythoughts on what this could be?

These sound to me like three completely unrelated issues. Were it my bike, and under warranty, I'd call the dealer and ask if there were additional diagnostics I could perform to help them pin down the issues(s), and then have then make any necessary repairs under the warranty.
