Top Speed of 35/40 mph
« on: December 13, 2011, 02:52:52 PM »
Hi, in july I bought a 8 month old Agility Rs50.
the bike was fully restricted and only did 30 mph.
since then I have Cut the CDI and now get 35 mph all the time and occasionally get 40 mph.
Is there anything I can do to get an extra 5-10 mph?!
(Don't want to spend LOADS of money on it)
Thanks.

You asked the same question 3 different times.  :(

The speed you are getting now is that based on the speedometer?  If so those are normally about 5 to 7 mph faster than actual speed. So doing 35 on speedo you are really running about 30.

Basically what Juice said look it up on youtube. Cutting CDI, changing Main jet to correct one and Removing washer from drive boss and you should average about 35 to 40 mph (actually GPS verified speed). Mine averages about 38mph and can hit about 40 to 41 mph (based on GPS) with changes above.  To get mor you will need to make adjustments to the tranny, Variator, roller weight, torque spring changes. then you can see roughly a 5 to 7 mph increase in the scooter. So roughly 45 MPH (GPS verified).. Some see a little more some see a little less. For name brand equipment you are looking at roughly $100 to $150 USD from what I researched.  and for knock off about $60 to $75 USD
