I notice the picture has the Dragon Custom brake reservoirs.  I used risers I got at my local Honda/Kimco dealer and the brake lines are "real" snug.  Longer lines would be better.  I removed the brake line bracket and they work ok.  I posted some pictures on this forum last fall.   He is right the riding position is much better if you have short arms.  I now can sit upright, it is more comfy.  I have not put the black cover back on.  The stock bars are painted black and not fancy. But since I used a riser kit for a Honda 600 the bars are a standard size.

One the other side of the coin.  This is a really good value.  I talked to Dragon Custom and it would have cost me $125 just for the risers plus the bars, plus the skirt kit.  If they had an offer like this at that time I would have seriously thought about it.  Only question is will the stock brake lines work...

Too much chrome for me too.  I paid $18 for plain 7/8 bar risers (straight up 1 1/4 inch) and drilled dents in them for the alignment pins on the stock Xciting bars.  Pull the brake lines up a bit in their holders, trim the plastic cover plate a little for the throttle cable.  20 minutes total to install, and much happier.
