ok cool thanks i beleive there right
i think i have a bad original cdi  DC big one
went to a scooter shop and i didnt know there was a AC one
i had them check it on a scoot that had same box SMALL one

it fired theres so i brought home and plugged in mine and it fried it..
so after reading tonight i see kymco,s take DC cdi so im gona try and find one tomorrow

Any one know if the pulser wire sends a ground signal to the cdi ?
as thats what im gettin out of it unplugged and at the box..

i have 1 igniton switched hot black blue
ground GREEN
blue yellow pulsator wire sending a ground circuit
everytime magnet passes while cranking
and have black yellow which isnt getting anything coming out of cdi

therefore beleve the cdi was bad just got f***ed by the shop as they didnt know there are 2 boxes either..
i do know

Yes most cheaper brands of scoots use an AC cdi & higher end scoots use a DC cdi!

Try ebay, they had some from china for sale which were pretty cheap a yr or so ago so prob still have them for sale. Just email them 1st to be sure its suitable and is a dc unit.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

In the big white connector there are two green wires, one black wire & one red wire. There is a separate rubber coated bullet connector, that has a blue w/yellow stripe!
