I think it was put up at 0.6mm before but 1/4"=6.35mm.
I used a 125 gy6 stator, and This cdi/coil. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=160781981964&view=all&tid=744122197006
It jumps about .75" It's not powerful (I got lit up a few times setting it up) but it jumps. The kick start never fired it so never worked. One kick now, maybe two when cold. This is all on that gy6 engine...

I wrote 0,6 cm, not millimeters. :)

I know its really 0,635, but because of the variables like moisture and air pressure, i just rounded the number. :D

What does that CDI do that a notched OEM CDI won't?

Remember, top speed is not our goal, but power to maintain 30mph while climbing hills is.  In fact I really don't want the scoot to go over 39mph because it is only licensed for a top speed of 30mph.

Those race cdi's supposedly have different ign. timing to create more torque/hp. Some do, and some dont. I just bought it so I have a spare for ten dollars. The one I was using is simply sold on ebay as de restricted. That was 14-15 bucks. I'll get the proper links. So for 25.00 I have two working CDI's a Good coil on the scoot, and a spare coil. Just the piece of mind is worth that.
The coil /cdi won't make the scoot go 50mph but they will allow it to if you change other things.

As far as i was told, the reason why agility is such a strong 4 stroke is partly, because it from standart have advanced ignition. :)

I got my mirrors from xuanxuanparts.  That's for he A50 not the People right?

So what does the race CDI do?  Will it help if my goal is more power for climbing hills and not maximum top speed?

The issue is the relatively low hp of the engine. Gearing is the key to maintaining rpm/speed. You need to keep the torsion drive closed, and the Var open to keep lower gearing. Light rollers, and a stiffer spring do that. Didn't you install a contra spring? If you did, and it's still loosing speed up hill try the next spring stiffer. Not all springs are the same.

No the springs finally got here Monday evening. We are going to do everything at once, hopefully this weekend.  Which reminds me, I need to get some locktight for when we replace the variator nut.

I hate to burst bubbles... Do 1 item at a time. Then you Know the result. It may take all day vs 2 hrs. but you will save a lot of guess work. I would install the contra spring first. That will let you know which rollers to use.

Do as zombie said and install every piece once at a time, then put the scooter together and test it.
If you do several changes, without testing in between, you will end up having a hard time figuring out any problems that you might experience after.
